In 1927, Fred Barnard coined a phrase in the magazine Printer's Ink. The phrase was the now-famous, "One picture is worth a thousand words." Barnard wouldn't take credit for the saying because he hoped people would take it more seriously if he called it a Chinese proverb.

Zainer and Jeff Grosskreutz Here are pics of the WAC monument that we helped purchase with donations and funds left over from our 25th class reunion. Principal Jack Padek combined our $1,900 with a contribution from the class of 2003, and commissioned this high-class granite and brick structure in front of the school. Be sure to read Jack's note to the right--a fitting capstone to our reunion celebration. |
