Hello Fellow Centralites! I can't tell you how happy I am to hear that plans are underway for a 25th Class Reunion. I was quite disappointed when our fifteen and twenty year reunions passed by without even a word from anyone. I am real excited that finally something is getting arranged so we can all get together and have some fun.

The past years have treated me very well. After going through a "friendly" divorce from by first husband during my twenties, I married a former classmate's younger brother, Mike Pederson, which added to an already-started "Central-Only Family." What I mean is that all my in-laws are graduates from WA Central, including their wives/husbands. It's like attending a class reunion every time we get together for a birthday party. Incredible and lots of fun!!! As you can see by my attached picture, I have changed for what I like to think is for the better (but nothing compared to Debby Call (you knew I'd say something, Deb, hehe).

I have three wonderful children--Greg is fifteen (from my first marriage), Erin is seven, and Nicole just turned five. I am reliving my childhood through all my children's school activities. It's pretty safe to say I am never bored, nor do I have a free moment to myself.

After graduation from Central, I attended some courses at St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee. I eventually ended up accepting a position with them in 1979. I have remained employed with what is now known as Aurora Health Care for twenty-three years!!! I have worked my way up through the ranks and have settled into a position as Metro Region Supervisor for Medical Transcription Services (that's a mouthful) for the past thirteen years and am about to be promoted to manager. My responsibilities include a staff of close to 120 who perform inpatient and outpatient documentation at St. Luke's Medical Center, Aurora Sinai Medical Center, St. Luke's South Shore and West Allis Memorial Hospital.

I truly do love my job or I wouldn't have stuck it out this long. I have met hundreds of fine people while at Aurora and have gained a vast assortment of knowledge in not only health care, but also computer systems. I have come from an environment where we hand-wrote memos back and forth to an organization that solely utilizes email for their communications. It's so funny, everyone panics when the network is down, but there was a time we didn't have the network and did the same job!!! Gotta love technology.

Well, enough about me. I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing from all my old friends again. As I continue to work out three times a week to get somewhat in shape for this reunion bash, I'll keep checking the website for updates and assist the committee in locating lost classmates. See you all soon and feel free to send an email.
