Dear Classmates,

I am another of those happy souls to know that a reunion is finally being planned. And from the few bios that are out there on the web-site, I can see that what I suspected was true, is true Ð we had a very interesting and remarkable graduating class.

My husband (who is also my business partner, which he sometimes confuses with being my boss), and I and the three children moved to Europe three and a half years ago.

We came to Europe as telecom consultants, but since then, the industry has sort of shriveled up and died on both continents. The last year saw us doing a lot of research, writing and speaking.

We witnessed September eleven as ex-pats, and since we travel --a lot --we saw the sad changes it made to our country--and the world. We are the parents of children who speak and read two languages, but refuse to share that knowledge with us. We went from being a three-car family (with only two drivers in the house), to a one-car, five-bike family. I learned to use my mobile phone and bike with one kid behind me and groceries in front of me. Life here is very different.

We have taken vacations to Egypt, Malta, Portugal, Spain, Southern France, Northern France, Paris, Germany (quaint) and Germany (East Berlin), Luxembourg, Belgium, Great Britain, and just this week returned from two weeks on an island in Greece.

I only sew once a year and that is at carnival time. My husband is all gray because I spend all our money on vacations as soon as we earn it. I will try to make arrangements to be at the reunion. And I hope to see many there.

Christine
